The evolution of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology has been remarkable throughout history up to our times. The development of technology and innovations have made surgery a more complex act, in which the desire to evolve towards less aggression on the patient predominates using innovative techniques, minimally invasive techniques, with short hospital stay and an early reincorporation to work and sports.
The objective is to guide, to give complete assistance to the processes that affect the musculoskeletal system, especially spinal pathology, in a holistic and multidisciplinary manner.

Endoscopic surgery of the lumbar spine
Currently, surgical techniques in Traumatology and Orthopaedics have evolved towards less aggression on the anatomical structures of the patient.
In the case of endoscopic surgery of the lumbar spine allows us to solve different pathologies more efficiently and less aggressively, since it consists of being able to apply the same principles of traditional “open” surgery but with a minimally invasive approach, achieving the least aggression possible of the lower back.
This surgery is indicated mainly for lumbar disc herniation surgery and canal stenosis surgery, allowing a better and faster recovery, lower patient morbidity, as well as a decrease in hospital stay.
The intervention consists of making a small incision of 1.5 cm in the lumbar area, where tubular retractors are used and are placed by sequential dilators which prevent the dissection of the muscle and also achieve less bleeding, so that recovery is faster than in conventional surgery
